When questions raise in our government about how we are handling the air pollution being caused by our harmful environment. The government just says there is a clean air act in place. What is the clean air act? The clean air act is a federal law that was put in place in 1970s because that is when they took it serious. The Clean Air Act led to the creation of the EPA which has monitored air pollution caused by companies.
The clean air act is where the government started taking action to our public health by reducing the air pollution, so we as humans wouldn’t have to die because of no clean air. Since they have taken effect the police and national guard are allowed to intervene if the law is not followed since then according to the government site the EPA (The United States Environmental Protection Agency) “The emissions reductions have led to dramatic improvements in the quality of the air that we breathe. Between 1990 and 2015, national concentrations of air pollutants improved 85 percent for lead, 84 percent for carbon monoxide, 67 percent for sulfur dioxide (1-hour), 60 percent for nitrogen dioxide (annual), and 3 percent for ozone. Fine particle concentrations (24-hour) improved 37 percent and coarse particle concentrations (24-hour) improved 69 percent between 2000, when trends data begins for fine particles, and 2015”(EPA). The EPA says that many pollutants have decreased since the 90s because of the work they have been doing now all though that this work is great. This is only from cutting a few things.
The EPA ordered the oil companies not to put led in their fuel “Airborne lead pollution, a widespread health concern before EPA phased out lead in motor vehicle gasoline under Clean Air Act authority, now meets national air quality standards in most areas of the country”(EPA). Since they have cleaned the air from the harmful elements there has been improvements in our air, but what more could the government do? How could they make a bigger impact so our air won’t be to polluted even for our kids.

In your bolded main sentence I think you could explain more, just before that you question what the Act really even is but you don't answer much of that question there. You had good sources that got you a lot of great statistics .
